Really enjoyed reading it.I have an old family photo of Babe Ruth with Brother Matthias(his mentor from St Mary's)and also a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. They had a muster going on then in Indianapolis. It was taken by Charles Bretzman also and I believe it was during the tour of the St.Mary's Band, so probably at this game. Brother Matthias was my Great Uncle so this photograph was passed down in the family and I treasure it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6055358841733153770.post-57068512474026521592016-03-02T05:09:32.967-05:002016-03-02T05:09:32.967-05:00That first panoramic picture is fantastic! I recall seeing a panorama in the HOF's collection from a Detroit game where (I think) Ty Cobb appears at both ends of the line of players.

In regards to Charley O'Leary, here's a short article I wrote about his days as a member of the Tigers when he and Germany Schaefer formed a very interesting double play duo: https://www.detroitathletic.com/blog/2011/06/01/schaefer-and-oleary-were-tigers-first-solid-double-play-combo/ Dan Holmeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00680796898360386096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6055358841733153770.post-3565061735877682632016-02-08T12:56:28.407-05:002016-02-08T12:56:28.407-05:00Great find Tom...and great research again!Great find Tom...and great research again!Brucehttps://twitter.com/BSmilenoreply@blogger.com
